Adir Winery

Published by at 11:36 under Winery

The Adir vineyard was established during the nineties by the Ashkenazi and Rosenberg families of Kerem Ben Zimra in the Galilee. The Rosenbergs have traditionally sold their grapes to the finest and most demanding wineries in Israel. Adir wineries have great quality, complex flavor and unique aroma. These can be achieved by the ideal conditions in the Galilee soil and the region’s temperature.
A few years ago, the Rosenberg’s decided that they want to be a part of Israel’s wine industry and they purchased all the tools needed to produce a wine cellar.
Avi Rosenberg is a wine maker who knows the vineyards well and manages to navigate the growth and nurturing of the vines even if this requires discarding a portion of the harvest to get the best grapes.
The vineyard’s advisor is the famed Dr. Arkady Papikiyan. The winery produces Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Shiraz labels. Today the winery produces about 10 thousand bottles a year.
Towards July 2009 is expected to be opened a visitor’s center that will display and market the wines.
