Benhaim’s vineyards are located in Israel’s Upper Galilee, an area known for the superb quality of its grapes. The winery has two vineyards, one on the peak of the Meron Mountain range, and the other outside the city of Zefat, 720 to 820 meters above sea level.

The vines grow on a westerly slope of limestone and rocky soil offering ideal microclimate conditions. The sun is plentiful, the cool winds, low temperature and abundant rainfall combine with unique properties of the mineral rich soil, create idyllic conditions for nurturing rich and fruity Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc and Petit Syrah grapes.

Benhaim is a boutique winery whose annual production is 40,000 bottles of eight distinctive varieties. Plans are underway to double that figure and the company has already acquired additional vineyards.

This unique wine is produced as a Port and is included in the sea lovers series. It is a red, sweet, intense wine produced by a distinguished blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Muscat and Petit Syrah that were gathered late in the harvest to preserve their sweetness.
Aged in oak barrels for 39 months, partly in the open air.
This wine is aromatic, powerful and intense and yet delicate and elegant.
18.2% alcohol by volume.
