Yatir Winery
Yatir Winery is a joint venture between the local winegrowers and Carmel Winery. The winery is situated at Tel Arad, an archaeological site with 3,000 years of history. Yatir Winery was founded in 2000 and the first wines were launched in 2004.
Vineyards
The vineyards lie in Yatir Forest, in the southern Judean Hills, up to 900 meters above sea level. Yatir Forest is Israel’s largest planted forest. The Ramat Arad vineyard is next door to the winery in the north east Negev, 500 meters above sea level.
Winemaker
Eran Goldwasser is a graduate from the University of Adelaide, Australia. He worked for a Southcorp winery and Carmel before joining Yatir. He is regarded as one of the best young winemakers in Israel.

• Numerous Gold medals both in Israel and international wine tasting competitions (including Challenge du Vin in Bordeaux.)

• Ranked Israel’s 3rd best winery in Rogov’s Guide 2008
• Awarded 3 stars in Hugh Johnson’s Pocket Wine Book 2008
• First label, Yatir Forest, awarded 93 points by Robert Parker’s Wine Advocate. Second label awarded 90 points.
